About Kie Kyon

Kie Kyon Huang serves as Senior Research Fellow in the Signature Research Programme in Cancer & Stem Cell Biology at Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology, and a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics with Honours from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His academic work centers on cancer genomics, including investigations into gastric cancer development, intestinal metaplasia, mutational signatures, and clonal hematopoiesis. Huang has co-authored peer-reviewed publications such as the 2023 paper titled Spatiotemporal Genomic Profiling of Intestinal Metaplasia Reveals Clonal Dynamics of Gastric Cancer Progression in Cancer Cell and the 2026 paper Mutational Signatures and Clonal Hematopoiesis in Intestinal Metaplasia across Countries with Varying Stomach Cancer Incidence in Cancer Discovery. His contributions appear in additional studies on epigenomic profiling, chromatin rewiring, and enhancer heterogeneity in gastric cancer. Huang maintains an active research presence through affiliations with the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore and the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium.
