About Lenny

Professor Lenny Koh is a Chair Professor in Operations Management at the University of Sheffield Management School. She holds a BEng (Hons) and a PhD, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). Professor Koh is the Founding Director of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Research Centre and Director of the Centre for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES). She also serves as Director of the Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre (AREC), Cross Cutting Chief for Strategic Futures on Resource Sustainability (SCRS), and Head of Communication, Partnership and Internationalization at the University of Sheffield Energy Institute. Her research focuses on supply chain management, operations management, resource efficiency, and sustainability, with an emphasis on low-carbon solutions and interdisciplinary approaches spanning information systems, engineering, and social sciences.

Professor Koh has led numerous large-scale, multi-partner research projects funded by EPSRC, ESRC, EU, TSB, and other bodies, including the £15 million BIG Energy Upgrade project and the development of the Supply Chain Environment Analysis Tool (SCEnAT). She is recognized as a highly cited researcher by Clarivate in 2024 and has generated substantial research income in her field. Her work includes books such as Low Carbon and Green Supply Chain (2009) and Information and Communication Technologies Management in Turbulent Business Environments (2009), along with extensive journal publications. Professor Koh has supervised research students, examined PhDs, reviewed grant applications, and collaborated with industry, government, and international partners on knowledge exchange initiatives.
