Letizia Janaina Migliore is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo. She completed her doctorate in Sistemática, Taxonomia Animal e Biodiversidade at the same institution, with a focus on entomology. Her academic work centers on the taxonomy, systematics, and morphology of Coleoptera, particularly the family Buprestidae. Migliore has contributed to the description of multiple new species of jewel beetles from Brazil and has examined their biology and host interactions in publications spanning from 2013 onward. Key works include studies on the genus Agrilus in collections at the Museu de Zoologia, morphology of leaf-mining Brachys species, and investigations into beetles associated with red propolis production. Additional research covers cladistic analyses of the tribe Tracheini and surveys of buprestid diversity in Brazilian biomes such as the Atlantic Forest and Caatinga. She has collaborated on papers appearing in journals including Papéis Avulsos de Zoologia, Insect Systematics & Evolution, The Science of Nature, and Zootaxa. Her contributions extend to examinations of neotenic beetles and host plant relationships in Coleoptera. As a postdoctoral fellow supported by the Pró-Reitoria de Inclusão e Pertencimento at USP, Migliore continues active research and participation in entomological meetings and collections-based studies at the Museu de Zoologia.
