About Li-Yang

Professor Li-Yang Hsu serves as Professor of Infectious Diseases and Vice Dean of Global Health at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. He is also Programme Leader of Infectious Diseases and Director of the Asia Centre for Health Security. He received his MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 1998 and his Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2007. He holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Institute of Tropical and Preventive Medicine as well as Specialist Accreditation in Infectious Diseases from NUS.

Hsu Li Yang is an infectious diseases physician whose academic career at NUS includes leadership roles focused on global health and infectious disease management. He was promoted to full professor effective 1 July 2023. His work centers on surveillance and control of antimicrobial resistance along with broader contributions to public health and health security in Asia.
