Mahadevan Subramaniam is a Professor and Chairperson of the Computer Science Department at the University of Nebraska - Omaha. He holds the position of Charles W. and Margre H. Durham Distinguished Professor of Computer Science. Subramaniam earned his Ph.D. following education at the University at Albany.

Subramaniam serves as Director of AI-CCORE. He oversees the Computer Science Department, which includes approximately 30 faculty and staff members and an ABET-accredited BS CS program. Subramaniam has authored or co-authored numerous publications in computer science topics.
