Professor Maria Amélia dos Santos Lemos Gurgel serves on the faculty of the Campus Arapiraca at Universidade Federal de Alagoas, affiliated with the Medicine course in the Centro de Ciências Médicas. She holds a bachelor's degree in Dentistry from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, obtained in 2010, and a master's degree in Saúde Coletiva. In her role, she teaches in the medical program and contributes to extension activities, including visits by medical students to hospital epidemiology services as part of institutional partnerships such as PET-Saúde.
