Rate My Professor Marisa Rydzy

Dr. Marisa Rydzy serves as an IODP Research Associate in the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment at the University of Leicester. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Rock Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, completing her studies between 2007 and 2013. Her professional work centers on petrophysics within the International Ocean Discovery Program and the European Petrophysics Consortium.

Dr. Rydzy has contributed to multiple IODP expeditions in the role of Petrophysics Staff Scientist. These include Expedition 405 focused on tracking tsunamigenic slip across the Japan Trench, Expedition 389 on Hawaiian drowned reefs, and Expedition 386 on Japan Trench paleoseismology.
