Rate My Professor Mary Kawonga

Mary Kawonga is an Associate Professor in Community Health at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a BSc, MBChB, DipHSM and a PhD in Public Health from the University of the Witwatersrand, awarded in 2015. She is a Public Health Physician and a Fellow of the College of Public Health Medicine in South Africa. She maintains a joint appointment with the Gauteng Department of Health and the Wits School of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Associate Professor Kawonga serves as Chair of the Wits School of Public Health Undergraduate Programme. Her professional roles encompass academic leadership, public health medicine practice and contributions to health programmes in Gauteng.
