Ju-Min Melvin Yap is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He also serves as Associate Provost (Education and Technology) in the Office of the Provost at NUS. Yap earned a B.Soc.Sci. (Hons.) from NUS and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
His research centers on visual word recognition, response time distributional analyses, megastudies, and individual differences in visual word recognition. Yap received the FASS Inspiring Mentor Award in 2022. His scholarly work has garnered over 13,000 citations.
