Minoru Fujii is Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe University. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Kobe University in 1987, a Master of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering at Kobe University in 1989, and a Doctor of Science in Substance Science from the Graduate School of Science and Technology at Kobe University in 1992.
Following his doctorate, Fujii worked at the Semiconductor Research Center of Panasonic Corporation from 1992 to 1994. He joined Kobe University as a Research Associate in the Graduate School of Science and Technology in 1995 and later in the Faculty of Engineering in 1997. From 2001 to 2002, he held an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellowship at the Technical University of Munich. He was appointed Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Kobe University in 2003 and Professor in the Graduate School of Engineering in 2009. His research centers on mesoscopic materials, including silicon nanostructures, quantum dots, and plasmonics, conducted through the Mesoscopic Materials Research Laboratory.
