Professor Mohamed Seghier is a Full Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology at Khalifa University. He holds a PhD from Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble awarded in 2000. With more than 20 years of experience, his work centers on functional neuroimaging, brain mapping, and cognitive neuroscience. He serves as Senior Director of the Research Institute for Health and as Director of the Healthcare Engineering Innovation Center. His research interests encompass neuroscience, medicine, psychology, and biochemistry. Professor Seghier teaches courses including Advanced Biosignal Processing, Advanced Physiological Systems, and Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience. He has led and contributed to multiple research projects focused on stroke recovery, rare genetic diseases, and advanced medical imaging techniques. He maintains an active publication record with contributions to peer-reviewed journals, editorials, and conference proceedings in his field. Professor Seghier is also involved in editorial roles, including service as Editor-in-Chief of a relevant imaging journal.
