Professor Moloko Sepota serves as Registrar at the University of South Africa (Unisa). He was appointed to the permanent role effective 1 October 2025, following his service as Acting Registrar since June 2023. Prior to these positions, he held roles including Acting Deputy Registrar: Student Administration and System Integration, and Regional Director of the North Eastern Region, where he led infrastructure developments, regional mergers, and postgraduate support initiatives. With over three decades in higher education, Professor Sepota began his career as a high school teacher before advancing in academic and administrative capacities within Unisa’s Comprehensive Open Distance e-Learning environment.

He holds a Diploma in Management Studies from the Management College of Southern Africa (Mancosa) and a Doctor of Literature (DLitt) from Stellenbosch University, with a focus on African Languages. His academic background includes expertise in applied linguistics, language acquisition, and language teaching. Professor Sepota has contributed to institutional transformation, efficiency improvements in graduation processes, and enhanced student success outcomes at Unisa.
