Professor Molusiwa Stephan Ramabodu serves as Acting Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at Durban University of Technology. He previously held the position of Head of the Department of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying at the same institution. A registered professional quantity surveyor, Professor Ramabodu holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying, a Master’s degree in Land and Property Management obtained in 2005, and a PhD in Quantity Surveying awarded by the University of the Free State in 2014.
His academic work centres on construction management and quantity surveying, with research contributions addressing factors contributing to cost overruns in construction projects, procurement guidelines for project success in cost planning, and emerging topics such as artificial intelligence applications in the construction industry. He has authored or co-authored multiple research works in these areas and has participated in academic events including public lectures and doctoral research workshops hosted by the university. Professor Ramabodu maintains an active profile in professional and academic circles related to the built environment.
