Rate My Professor Montasir Qasymeh

Professor Montasir Qasymeh serves as Associate Provost for Research, Innovation, and Academic Development and as Professor of Electrical Engineering at Abu Dhabi University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Canada in 2010 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa. His research focuses on quantum systems, terahertz and microwave photonics, plasmonic devices, electromagnetism, and optics. He joined Abu Dhabi University approximately 14 years ago, following prior roles in research and teaching.

Professor Qasymeh is recognized as a prolific inventor with contributions to quantum technology, including patents in areas such as frequency-tunable quantum microwave to optical conversion systems. His work supports innovation and commercialization efforts at the university, including the development of new Ph.D. programs and international collaborations. He has played a key role in advancing research excellence and academic development at Abu Dhabi University.
