Nikolaos Palaiodimopoulos is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the University of Crete through his work at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) in Heraklion, Crete. He earned a BSc in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2013, an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Stockholm University in 2016, and a PhD in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2020, with his doctoral thesis focusing on transferring states in quantum networks.
He joined the Theoretical Quantum Optics and Technology Group at IESL-FORTH in 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow within the framework of the EU QuantERA Project PACE-IN. His research interests center on theoretical quantum optics, quantum networks, and related areas in physics. During his doctoral studies, he received a scholarship from the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of Greece from 2017 to 2019.
