About Noémi

Noémi Nagy is an Assistant Professor of Career and Technical/Workforce Education in the College of Education at the University of South Florida, within the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Lifelong Learning. She received her Ph.D. in work and organizational psychology and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in university teaching from the University of Bern in Switzerland, as well as an MSc in social and economic psychology from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. Her research centers on sustainable career development across the lifespan, with particular emphasis on late-career employees, job crafting, proactivity at work, and organizational flourishing. Nagy employs interdisciplinary approaches drawing from industrial-organizational psychology, organizational behavior, and related fields to examine career challenges in multi-generational and diverse workplaces.

She has secured external research funding exceeding $150,000 and received a career fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation for promising young researchers. Nagy was also nominated for best paper based on a dissertation and best paper of the Careers Division by the Academy of Management. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Human Relations, MIT Sloan Management Review, the Journal of Career Assessment, and the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. Prior to her appointment at USF in 2020, she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational behavior, leadership development, personnel assessment, career development, and statistics and research methods. Nagy has presented at major international conferences including those of the Academy of Management and the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology.
