Peter Innis is an Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong. He has served as Associate Director of the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) since 2000. Innis is also Director of the Materials Node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) and a Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterial Science (ACES). His research centres on conducting polymers and electroactive polymers, with applications in electrofluidics, electrochromics, smart textiles, nanostructured materials, fibres, 3D printing, melt extrusion and fibre production using nanocomposites. He holds a PhD in Chemistry, Materials and Conducting Polymers from the University of Technology Sydney awarded in 1996. Innis brings extensive experience in facilities management, intellectual property and research contracts.
