Rate My Professor Rachel Johnson

Dr Rachel Johnson is an Associate Professor in Primary Care at Bristol Medical School (Population Health Sciences) at the University of Bristol and a practising GP in Bristol. She holds a BA from the University of Cambridge and a BMBCh from the University of Oxford. She completed her PhD in 2019, with a focus on shared decision making with patients who have cardiovascular conditions.

Her research interests centre on cardiovascular conditions, multiple long-term conditions, and person-centred care. She serves as co-lead of the Models of Care Workstream for the Cross NIHR collaborative for Multiple Long Term Conditions. Dr Johnson has contributed to projects examining interventions to support shared decision making for hypertension, treatment burden in multiple long-term conditions, and priorities for research into advanced heart failure care.
