Associate Professor Saiful Islam is a faculty member in the School of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where he holds the position of Associate Professor in Data Science and Statistics. He earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. Prior to his current role, he served as a Lecturer in Big Data Analytics at Griffith University from 2017 to 2022, a Research Fellow at La Trobe University from 2016 to 2017, and a Research Associate at Swinburne University of Technology from 2014 to 2016.
