About Shogo

Shogo Kobayashi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, Rikkyo University, where he has held the position since 2025. He previously served as a Lecturer at Tokyo University of Science from 2023 to 2025 and as an Assistant Professor there from 2018 to 2023. Earlier, he was a Researcher at Kyoto University from 2017 to 2018. He earned his PhD in Science from the University of Tokyo in 2017 and his undergraduate degree in Physics from Osaka City University in 2012.

His research focuses on X-ray astrophysics. Recent publications include studies on XRISM high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy of Cygnus X-1, monitoring of the ultraluminous X-ray pulsar NGC 7793 P13, and XRISM spectroscopy of the stellar-mass black hole 4U 1630-472. He contributes to research involving high-energy phenomena in astrophysical systems through observational data analysis and instrumentation efforts.
