Associate Professor Shuai Li is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and a Dame Kate Campbell Fellow at the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne. He serves as Unit Head of the Breast Cancer Unit and Director of the Genetic Epidemiology Research Alliance. Li is a medically trained epidemiologist whose research focuses on genetic epidemiology, epigenetic epidemiology, cancer epidemiology and cancer risk modelling, including twin and family studies.
Li completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne on DNA methylation and breast cancer risk factors using twin and family designs. His work has been recognised through fellowships and leadership roles in research initiatives supported by the NHMRC. He has contributed to numerous publications in his field, with his Google Scholar profile indicating over 4,000 citations.
