Dr Siphokazi Dada is a Senior Researcher at the Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (Wits RHI) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a PhD in Psychiatry from Stellenbosch University and a Masters degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her research focuses on public health topics including HIV prevention through pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and substance use. She has contributed to qualitative studies examining experiences with oral PrEP among various populations and has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the International AIDS Society. Prior to her role at Wits RHI, she worked as a Senior Scientist in the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Research Unit at the South African Medical Research Council.
