Stuart Murdoch is Associate Professor in Physics at the University of Auckland. His research interests include nonlinear fibre optics, laser physics, optical microresonators, and frequency combs. He joined the Dodd-Walls Centre in 2015 and is based at the University of Auckland, where he is a Principal Investigator and One Beacon Co-leader. Murdoch is part of the nonlinear photonics group in the Department of Physics and contributes to projects on optical microresonators and related topics.
His work focuses on the nonlinear interactions of light in optical fibre and optical microresonators. Murdoch holds the position of Associate Professor in Physics at the University of Auckland.
