Rate My Professor Sundeep Singh

Sundeep Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering at the University of Prince Edward Island. He earned a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University in 2009, an M.Tech in Thermal Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur in 2012, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar in 2018, with a specialization in thermo-fluids. Since joining UPEI in August 2022, he has brought more than three years of postdoctoral research experience from Canadian institutions including McMaster University, the University of Calgary, and Wilfrid Laurier University. With over five years of teaching experience, he has received multiple teaching excellence awards, including the Student Union's Faculty of the Year Award for 2022-23.

His research expertise encompasses thermo-fluids, computational fluid dynamics, minimally invasive thermal therapies, bio-heat transfer, coupled multiscale and multiphysics problems in bioengineering, complex fluid rheology, sustainable and environmental engineering, and numerical modelling and simulations. He has co-authored more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, chaired three special symposiums at international conferences, and served as a guest editor and reviewer for several journals, having reviewed over 100 research papers. Singh has secured internal research grants from UPEI and federal funding for projects advancing digital twin technology for precision in thermal therapies and optimal catheter design.
