Professor Susan Wilson is a Professor in Environmental Pollution at the University of New England. She leads the UNE Pollution Science Research Group in the School of Environmental and Rural Science. She holds a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. Her research specializations include environmental chemistry, pollution science and soil science. Professor Wilson has been cited more than 5,000 times according to Google Scholar.
She previously held the position of Associate Professor in Environmental Pollution at the University of New England. In 2023 she was appointed to a prestigious STEM ambassador role to strengthen connections between science and public policy. Professor Wilson contributes to research on topics including soil health, water quality and contaminants such as arsenic and antimony in river catchments.
