Mr. Masa Sylvester Motadi serves as Research Associate in the Department of Public and Development Administration at the University of Venda. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, both from MANCOSA, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management in London. Additional qualifications include a BCom in Economics from the University of Venda, a BCom in Management from Lyceum College, diplomas in financial management and safety management awarded cum laude from Oxbridge Academy, a Diploma in Municipal Finance Management from LGSETA, and various certificates in agricultural economics, business management, and public service pre-entry programs. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management at the University of Pretoria.
Mr. Motadi’s research interests center on public administration, with publications including work on transnational education mobility and identity formation as well as the provision of quality education in Limpopo. He previously held the position of Senior Accountant at a municipality and is recognized as a Professional Government Finance Officer by the Chartered Institute of Government Finance, Audit and Risk Officers. Mr. Motadi has served as President of the University of Venda Convocation and was elected unopposed as Deputy President of the Association of University Convocations in 2026. He is a recipient of the YALI certificate of leadership from the United States government and acts as Trustee of the Martha-Molema Educational Trust.
