Rate My Professor Tadao Aikawa

Tadao Aikawa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular Biology and Medicine at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine. He is a cardiologist and physician-scientist whose work centers on multimodal cardiovascular imaging, including PET, SPECT, MRI, and CT, to advance understanding of coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. His interest in imaging developed during early training, leading him to pursue clinical and translational research in both Japan and the United States aimed at creating more precise, patient-centered diagnostic strategies.

At Juntendo University, Aikawa mentors medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical reasoning, imaging interpretation, and scientific writing, with many mentees achieving their first publications.
