About Tatsuhiko

Tatsuhiko Yamamoto serves as Professor at the Law School of Keio University, with a specialty in Constitutional Law. He earned his B.A. in Law, LL.M., and S.J.D. from Keio University. Since 2014, he has held the position of Professor of Law and has served as Deputy Director of the Keio University Global Research Institute. Yamamoto has written extensively on Japanese constitutional law and information privacy in Japan. He has contributed to several government committees, including the Conference toward AI Network Society organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan.

His scholarly work includes editing and contributing to the book series Monsterizing Platform Power and Law. In 2025, he served as chief editor for Volume 1, Platforms and States: How to Settle the Battle of Monsters, published by Keio University Press, and contributed chapters and prefaces to additional volumes in the series addressing platforms and power, social foundations, and related legal themes. He has also participated in endowed lectures and symposia at the university, including the Netflix Endowed Lecture on Anime Peace Studies and events focused on constitutional interpretation and contemporary legal challenges. Yamamoto emphasizes the mission of constitutional law studies in bridging legal texts with social realities to realize constitutional values.
