Thomas Evans is a Research Fellow in Biodiversity and Animal Welfare at the Bristol Veterinary School within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Bristol. His work centers on biological invasions, environmental impact assessment, and conservation science, with a particular emphasis on quantifying and categorizing the animal welfare impacts caused by invasive species.
He has contributed to research examining the management of alien bird impacts and co-authored a 2026 paper in Nature Communications on the negative impacts of biological invasions on animal welfare worldwide.
