Thomas Kong is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head (External Relations) (Educator Track) in the Department of Architecture at the College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his Bachelor of Architecture with honours from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Architecture with distinction from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Kong’s academic appointments at NUS include roles focused on undergraduate architecture and interior architecture programs, as well as leadership in external relations. His research interests encompass design education, values-driven design, and social curating and archiving from personal collections. He has served as Principal Investigator on funded projects in these areas and co-founded the Social Design Lab at NUS. Kong has delivered public lectures on topics such as values-driven design and contributed to design education initiatives.
