Professor Thomas Robinson is a Senior Lecturer Above the Bar in Disaster Risk and Resilience at the University of Canterbury, affiliated with the School of Earth and Environment in the Faculty of Science. He earned his PhD in Hazard Management from the University of Canterbury between 2011 and 2015 and holds an MSci in Geology and Geophysics from Imperial College London. His research specializations include natural hazards, earthquakes, landslides, hazard and risk assessments, and emergency management. His scholarly work has received over 1,582 citations. Robinson serves as PhD Coordinator for Disaster Risk and Resilience and received the University of Canterbury Student Association Lecturer of the Year award.
