Tulio Konstantyner is an Associate Professor (Prof Adjunto C II) and Vice-Head of the Discipline of Nutrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Escola Paulista de Medicina, Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). He graduated in Medicine from the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de Santos in 1992 and completed his pediatric residency at the Hospital Infantil Darcy Vargas in 1996. He holds a specialist title in Nutrology from the Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria (2016). Konstantyner earned his Master’s degree (2006) and PhD (2009) in Ciências Aplicadas à Pediatria from UNIFESP. He completed postdoctoral training in Epidemiology and Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (2010–2011) and in Medicine at UNIFESP (2014–2015).
His academic career at UNIFESP includes serving as professor and advisor in the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Pediatrics and Ciências Aplicadas à Pediatria. He coordinates and precepts the Clinical Nutrition Outpatient Clinic and participates in extension projects such as Entrepontos. Konstantyner is Secretary of the Nutrition Department of the Sociedade de Pediatria de São Paulo, Director and Scientific Consultant at ILSI Brasil, and Associate Editor of the Revista Paulista de Pediatria. He also instructs the Neonatal Resuscitation Program of the Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria and works as a pediatrician in the Neonatology team at Hospital Geral de Itapecerica da Serra. His research focuses on nutritional disorders in children, micronutrients, neonatal morbidity and mortality, infant nutrition, and related epidemiological topics.
