Rate My Professor Vibeke Andersen

Vibeke Andersen is Clinical Professor at the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark. Her work centers on clinical research in gastroenterology with emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease, genetic epidemiology, and related areas including pharmacogenetics and systems medicine approaches to chronic inflammatory conditions.

She serves as regional coordinator for the International Inflammatory Bowel Disease Genetics Consortium and has participated in major collaborative projects such as SYSCID, a systems medicine initiative on chronic inflammatory disease. Andersen has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and received recognition including a prize in 2011 for research on the biological mechanisms of intestinal inflammation. She maintains active involvement in committee memberships, research networks, and related professional activities at the university and beyond.
