Vitor Martins de Oliveira is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the Universidade de São Paulo (IME/USP), a position he has held since 2022. He earned a PhD in Physics from the Institute of Physics at the Universidade de São Paulo in 2021, with research centered on invariant manifolds in Hamiltonian systems. Prior to that, he completed a master's degree in Mathematics at the Universidade Federal do ABC in 2016 and bachelor's degrees in Physics and in Science and Technology at the same institution in 2014 and 2013, respectively. He also participated in an exchange program at the University of Twente in the Netherlands as part of his undergraduate studies.
His research focuses on nonlinear dynamics and chaos, with applications in celestial mechanics and orbital dynamics, including topics such as spin-orbit coupling and tidal forces. He has been supported by FAPESP scholarships and served as a CAPES-Humboldt Fellow. Oliveira has contributed to publications and presented work on dynamical systems at academic events.
