About Wei Kwok

Professor Wei Kwok Kee serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), a role he assumed in April 2025. He previously joined SIM in April 2020 as Provost of SIM Global Education, where he provided leadership for academic vision and innovations in skills-based learning.

Prior to SIM, Professor Wei held the position of Provost's Chair Professor of Information Systems at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he founded the Department of Information Systems and served as the founding Dean of the School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) from 2016. At the City University of Hong Kong, he was Chair Professor of Information Systems, Dean of the College of Business from 2007 to 2012, and Head of the Department of Information Systems from 2002 to 2007. His key research areas include e-commerce, knowledge management, and supply chain management systems. He is a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and served as its President in 2003/2004. In 2016, he received the AIS LEO Award for Lifetime Exceptional Achievement in Information Systems. Professor Wei has published more than 200 journal and conference papers and has played significant editorial and leadership roles in major information systems conferences and journals, including as Senior Editor of MIS Quarterly and Associate Editor of Information Systems Research. His contributions have helped establish strong research cultures in information systems departments at leading Asian universities.
