Professor Weihe Xie is a professor in the School of Education at Tsinghua University. He holds a Ph.D. and his research areas include foundational theories of education and sociology of education. He has also conducted research on principles of education and higher education. Professor Xie has served as Vice President of Tsinghua University and as Director of the Graduate School of Education. He is recognized as a National First-Class Professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences and a renowned educational sociologist. He has presided over and completed more than 10 research projects and has published widely in the field of sociology of education.
His contributions include participation in academic forums and discussions on topics such as the structure of China's higher education and educational reform. Professor Xie is affiliated with the Higher Education Research Division at Tsinghua University's Institute of Education.
