Wu Dengsheng is a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Management, Shenzhen University. He holds a PhD in management from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, awarded in 2011, following bachelor's and master's degrees in management from Anhui University. His career includes positions as assistant researcher and associate researcher at the Institute of Policy and Management of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2011 to 2015, and as associate researcher and innovative researcher at the Institutes of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2016 to 2024, before joining Shenzhen University in February 2024.
Wu Dengsheng's research focuses on science and technology big data intelligent decision-making and risk management. He serves as deputy editor-in-chief of China Management Science, academic editor of The Innovation, council member of the Management Science and Engineering Society, council member of the China Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics, and secretary-general of the Risk Management Branch. He has led more than ten research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Excellent Young Scientist Fund and key projects. He has published over 70 papers in journals such as Risk Analysis, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and China Management Science, including two letters in Nature and Science. His honors include two Qinghai Provincial Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes, the China Decision Science Youth Science and Technology Award, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, the Chinese Academy of Sciences President Special Award, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Branch "Qimingxing" Composite Talent Honorary Title. He has contributed to drafting one national standard, applied for over 20 invention patents and software copyrights, and submitted more than ten policy recommendations adopted by national decision-making departments, several of which received instructions from national leaders.
