Rate My Professor Xiangjiu Guan

Xiangjiu Guan is a Research Associate Professor at the International Research Center for Renewable Energy (IRCRE), State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. He earned his bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2011 and his Ph.D. degree from the same institution in 2018. From September 2015 to September 2016, he served as a visiting scholar in Professor Zetian Mi's group at McGill University in Canada.

His research focuses on solar energy conversion, encompassing hydrogen production through water and seawater splitting, seawater desalination and water purification via interfacial evaporation, and biomass conversion for hydrogen and high-value chemicals. Guan serves as a young editorial board member for journals including eScience and Energy Materials, and acts as a reviewer for publications such as Nature Catalysis and Nature Communications.
