Yusuke Kobayashi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Institute of Medicine at the University of Tsukuba. He received his Ph.D. in Medicine from Keio University in 2011. His career history includes serving as a resident and assistant professor at Keio University School of Medicine, a research fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2012 to 2014, and progressing through roles including specially appointed assistant professor and lecturer at Keio before joining the University of Tsukuba in October 2023 as Associate Professor.
His research focuses on gynecologic oncology, hereditary oncology, and women’s health, with projects examining statins in ovarian cancer treatment, responses to therapies in recurrent ovarian cancer, hereditary breast and ovarian cancer management, and biomarkers in endometrial and ovarian carcinomas. He has received numerous honors, including the Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology Contribution Award in 2023 and the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology Academic Encouragement Award in 2024. Kobayashi has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics such as the impact of prior olaparib use on platinum-based therapy in recurrent ovarian cancer, prognostic factors in endometrial carcinomas, and current treatment strategies for ovarian cancer in East Asia.
