APRN/ Instructor I
This position will support physicians in clinic. The APP will see pre-op and post-op patients and routine return visits. Additionally, the APP will work in tandem with physicians to maximize patient templates. APPs are responsible for placing orders, answering MyChart messages and phone calls from patients, and completing extensive paperwork such as FMLA and disability forms.
Responsibilities
CLINICAL - Reviews patient records and films, conducts in-depth interviews with patients, constructs comprehensive medical histories, conducts initial physical examinations, and explores patient's interpretation of health needs.
OTHER - Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
Qualifications
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.
