The College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, is seeking applications from outstanding candidates for one tenured or probationary (tenure-track) position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The College of Nursing invites applications for this position from candidates that have expertise in health systems, health policy, global health, or related fields.

The successful candidate will contribute to the College’s mission through research, teaching, and service that strengthen health systems, address health inequities, and improve population and global health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A PhD in Nursing or a related health discipline, an established research record in health care including several peer-reviewed publications, demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants and establish research networks.
• Evidence of a capacity to build and maintain strong relationships through all levels of professional engagement with partner organizations and demonstrated ability to supervise research students and research projects.
• A proven track record of excellence in teaching, course development and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Applicants for Associate and Full Professor must have evidence of a well-developed and established program of research in a particular health-related area, current, competitive national grant funding, strong publications track record, and an established national reputation.
• The applicant will possess strong communication skills, clinical expertise as relevant, and the ability to establish collegial relationships.
