Job Description
The Departments of Microbiology and Biology are recruiting an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology and to develop an externally funded research program in the area of virology. Ideal candidates should have an interest and the ability to teach courses in virology (such as Human Viruses or General Virology) and other courses in the field of Microbiology to majors and non-majors. The successful candidate should be able to develop and maintain an active and externally-funded research program involving undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students in the field of virology. Applications from all different areas of research in virology are welcome. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to student advising; and perform service to the institution and the profession.
Minimum Qualifications
Required: Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in virology, microbiology, biology or related fields.
