Associate Lecturer (Teaching Focused)
About This Opportunity
Join the School of Social Science at The University of Queensland as an Associate Lecturer (Teaching Focused) on a 0.4 FTE fixed-term appointment. This exciting opportunity will see you contribute to the undergraduate Sociology program by teaching SOCY3039: Applied Quantitative Research in Semester 2. You will bring an emerging profile in innovative and effective teaching practice that enhances student learning and actively contribute to the collegial and collaborative life of the School.
As this role is for a short, fixed-term contract and is based in Brisbane, we are not accepting applications from interstate or international candidates at this time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Teaching: Coordinate courses, develop and deliver lectures and tutorials, assess and mark students, maintain quality of courses, mentor students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Citizenship and Service: Engage with the collegial life and activities of the School, including thesis marking where relevant and School ad hoc working parties, perform administrative functions, and uphold University values.
