Chief Financial Officer
Vocate Education Solutions invites nominations and applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the organization’s senior financial executive and enterprise financial steward, accountable for financial rigor, operational excellence, governance, and trust across Vocate and its affiliated entities, including Ultimate Medical Academy, American Institute and future portfolio expansions. Vocate operates within a highly regulated higher education and workforce-focused environment, serving students and employers through innovative, outcomes-driven models.
Vocate is a non-profit higher education and workforce solutions provider dedicated to closing the nation’s talent gaps in critical industries such as healthcare. Through its entities including Ultimate Medical Academy, American Institute, Nasium Training and Global Education Group, Vocate serves more than 20,000 adult learners nationwide, primarily in under-resourced populations. These learners seek the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to transition from job tracks in retail, food service and hospitality to career paths with growth potential in high-demand fields. Backed by more than 130 years of combined experience in higher learning across its institutions, Vocate delivers accessible, career-aligned programs enhanced by employer partnerships and comprehensive student support services. To date, Vocate has helped more than 100,000 graduates achieve career success through tailored, accessible education and expedited job placement support.
This is a pure CFO role, distinct from a controller or accounting-only profile, with full ownership of financial operations, systems, capital strategy, and institutional risk management, while serving as a key partner in the organization’s next phase of growth, portfolio evolution, and strategic expansion. The CFO also brings a clear understanding of nonprofit structures and compliance requirements, including oversight of nonprofit accounting, reporting (including Forms 990), and regulatory obligations.
The CFO partners closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, as well as the Audit and Finance Committees, acting as a trusted advisor and confidant while maintaining disciplined controls, transparency, and financial credibility. This leader brings maturity, sound judgment, and executive presence and contributes meaningfully to enterprise-level decisions, including active partnership with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and senior leadership team.
