Position Purpose

The Director, Enterprise Business Systems provides leadership and direction to a team of software engineers responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Dartmouth’s Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) platform and the portfolio of third-party applications integrated within that environment. This role serves as the primary technical advisor for the Oracle EBS ecosystem and will play a central planning and advisory role in the institution’s transition to a next-generation Finance and HR system over the coming years.

The Director partners closely with the Associate Vice President of Enterprise Systems Group and institutional stakeholders to ensure that business systems effectively support administrative operations, that vendor relationships are actively managed, and that the team is well-positioned to support both current operational needs and future transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 or more years of experience in a technologist or systems analyst role within complex organizations, with demonstrated focus on enterprise business systems or ERP platforms.
• Minimum 2–3 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in an IT or systems environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite or comparable ERP platforms.
