Job Description

The Office of Student Engagement and Campus Center is seeking a student for employment. This position is funded by the University. All undergraduate students looking for employment are welcome to apply.

The Campus Center, housed within Hammond Hall, has been student-run since 1977. Hammond Hall houses everything from offices and services for students to the Gallucci-Cirio Library and the North Street Bistro. The Information Desk is an area of the Campus Center and the Staff reports to the Associate Director of Campus Center Operations.

Requirements

• Assist with the operation of the Information Desk
• Provide friendly quality customer service to patrons
• Provide patrons information to the correct and appropriate resource through clerical duties such answering phones and emails
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional appearance to the desk
• Keep the brochure rack clean and stocked
• Update the Rave Alert system with faculty absences and class cancellations, as necessary
• Strong computer and typing/record-keeping skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Stamp and distribute posters around Hammond
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Information

Employees should expect to work at least 8, but no more than 20, hours per week at $15.00 per hour. Be advised this position is a student employment position.
