Job ID 295273 Position 40105575 The School of Public Health at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in Clinical Psychology with a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatrics in the Medical College of Georgia. This position is intended for a doctoral-level psychologist whose work addresses mental and behavioral health from a population and pediatric perspective.
Responsibilities
Research - 50%
- Build and maintain a program of high impact research as Principal Investigator.
- Serve as a team scientist on other AU research (as Co-I).
- Solicit and obtain extramural funding to support research projects.
- Publish regularly in high impact journals.
- Present research at regional, national, and international scientific meetings.
- Engage community members for research implementation and dissemination.
Clinical/Patient Care - 40%
- Provide clinical care through the Department of Pediatrics within your scope of practice.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine social, emotional and cognitive functioning.
- Provide therapeutic services for pediatric patients.
- Provide consultation services to other clinicians.
Teaching - 5%
- Co-teach up to one course per year in SPH graduate programs.
- Mentor SPH graduate students in your areas of expertise.
Service - 5%
- Serve on department, school, and campus committees.
- Serve on community, state, and national committees and support community events.
- Conduct peer-review for journals, funding agencies, and professional societies.
