Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Position Description
We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Huh lab in the Department of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. The work of the Huh lab is focused on the modulatory roles of the microbiome in regulating host immune response. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in this or a related field, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Huh to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab's research. In addition to carrying out microbiome-analytical research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment.
PhD and/or MD in an area such as biology, food science, microbiome analyses, or related field is required. Experience in reverse translational work, analyzing microbiome and sequencing datasets acquired with human samples is a plus.
