Postdoctoral Researcher in Conductive Polymer–Based Supercapacitors

The research group of Prof. Ze Zhang at Université Laval is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to an advanced project on conductive polymer–based supercapacitors.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will lead experimental research focused on the design, synthesis, and electrochemical evaluation of conductive polymer-based supercapacitors for conventional and medical applications. The role involves independent work in wet chemistry and cell culture laboratories, operation of standard analytical instruments, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary research environment.

Required Expertise

• Electrochemistry — demonstrated hands‑on experience and peer‑reviewed publications, ideally related to supercapacitors or batteries, and practical experience with CV, EIS, and related techniques.
• Conductive polymers — strong understanding of synthesis, structure, and properties; experience with polypyrrole is particularly valued.
• Material characterization — proficiency with conventional analytical and spectroscopic techniques.
• Cell culture – experience in culture of human or animal cells is a plus.
• Scientific communication — proven ability to publish research findings and deliver oral presentations in English.
