Salary: $65,300 - $83,300
Description:
Provides mental health services to the campus community, including one or more of the following services: individual, couples and group counseling and therapy; crisis intervention; consultation and outreach services.
- Provides individual, couples and group counseling to students.
- Participates in the development and delivery of support, awareness, outreach and consultation services to the campus community.
- Provides initial assessment and on-call services to clients with personal concerns and maintains appropriate case documentation, supervision and evaluation records.
- Performs clinical assessments and refers individuals to other resources as needed.
- Develops and conducts outreach seminars, workshops, and programs.
- May collaborate with other campus departments to create and implement programs for the campus community.
- Assists in the supervision and training of interns, practicum students, and/or graduate students in counseling.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
A full-time, benefits-eligible position commencing as soon as possible but no later than August 03, 2026.
Minimum qualifications: A Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work. Licensure is required at time of interview. We welcome applicants who do not have prior counseling center experience provided candidates clearly articulate how their experience in other settings can be translated to a counseling center/higher education setting. The successful candidate will have strong attention and motivation to multicultural competence, demonstrated by awareness of their areas for multicultural growth, an openness to working with a wide range of diverse clients, and the pursuit of continued education.
Desired Qualifications: Candidates who are three plus years post-licensure and have experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: diverse range of client presenting concerns and diversity variables, short-term/brief therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach programming.
General responsibilities: Provide multi-culturally competent individual, couples, and group services within a short-term therapy framework; facilitate workshops on coping skills for anxiety and emotional resilience; adhere to stepped care principles in assessing a student’s fit for services; perform crisis intervention and assessment, engage in consultation and outreach; engage with trainees via co-therapy and training seminars; and perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
